About

An Adirondack-rooted project shaped by outdoor life, art, photography, and place.

NY Wilds brings together hiking, fishing, backcountry travel, visual work, and the sense that the mountains carry more than scenery — they carry memory, history, and spiritual energy.

The project exists as a service to the outdoor community and as an alternative source of information: more local, more attentive, and more grounded in the lived texture of the Adirondacks and New York wild country.

NY Wilds pays special attention to brook trout water, great camps, fire towers, hidden ponds, old routes, and the special places that still hold quiet in the backcountry.

Artist statement

The aim is not simply to document landscapes, but to interpret them — through journal entries, trail notes, photographs, art, and essays that reflect a genuine Adirondack perspective.

Over time, this space will hold writing from the field, art shaped by mountain weather and water, photographs, and practical notes that are still rooted in atmosphere and care for place.

The goal is simple: create a body of work that feels true to the Adirondacks — alive with local memory, rough edges, and the spirit of the mountains themselves.
