It’s no surprise that it takes a 9 month reservation to obtain that perfect campsite in NY State Parks with all of the new campers. Gone seem to be the days of throwing the gear in the back of the car on a friday night and heading north for the picture perfect campsite. In my opinion, more sites should be left open for walk-ups to cater to the free spirits and wanderlusts.
